Managed capital campaign and exceeded goal, ultimately raising a total of $12 million, the largest amount ever raised for a high school in the state of Arizona.


St. Luke’s School, Bronx, New York (Dan Butler Pro Bono)

Board Chairman during a most turbulent time when many Catholic Grammar Schools were being closed by the Archdiocese due to financial insolvency and shrinking enrollment. Recruited a dedicated and generous Alumni Board. Established a vital partnership with the New York archdiocesan Department of Education which included gaining the confidence of the archdiocese while presenting St. Luke’s as a stable institution with a bright future. In addition to raising over $3 million in operating funds, launched a Centennial campaign with a goal of $2 million, the successful attainment of which helps ensure St. Luke’s long-term fiscal future.


Pennsylvania Academy of Music, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

A 10 year relationship with the Academy during which a total of $30 million was realized for the School’s building. The $20 million raised from private sources represents the largest amount ever raised from private sources in the city of Lancaster. Designed by famed architect, Philip Johnson, the Academy was one of only 12 pre-collegiate schools of music in the country accredited by National Association of Schools of Music.

New York Philharmonic

Conducted training sessions for the volunteer committee recruited for the “phonathon” segment of the annual campaign. The phonathon was a program through which current annual donors & prospective donors were called on by a cadre of volunteers following a direct mail letter which preceded the calls. This training was one of the important reasons for a 30% increase in the annual campaign. Since that successful experience, the phonathon has become a major component of the Phiharmonic’s annual campaign
